Tomorrow I am going to make the move to my new place! I am pretty excited because I just purchased my first piece of furniture ever: a black circular cushion chair. I'm pretty sure it's meant to be a kids chair... and I got it at Wal-mart... but it folds up if I need to get it out of the way, and it's a good size for the room, so I don't care! Oh yeah plus it was cheap >.<
I haven't even started looking for a job here yet... but I'll start doing that seriously tomorrow and thursday too. I just needed a little vacation from doing anything productive I guess. :) I have a feeling that finding a decent job, and preferably one closeish to where I'm living, is going to be hard. I am preparing myself to end up working at a telephone company for a couple months :S lol. That'd sure make me want to go back to school quickly!
In other news, on Saturday Jenwa and I went to tyc. That was fun, we whored some drinks off these old men and ran into a couple people from high school. Then we went to mcdonalds afterwards and I ate about 5 pounds of chicken nuggets. McDonalds is definitely the new staple in my diet, cause the next morning my scale said I lost 10 pounds, and it hasn't changed since then!! woo!! I think I need a new scale...
Last night I showed Zana the new house, and then we went and pigged out on mcdonalds. Her fiance Sean was at the Oasis concert, so when that ended we picked him up, dropped off his buddy, then we went to the Pal to check it out and dance a bit. It was fun, we ran into more people from high school. But wow, there were lots of hot guys there!! I don't think I've ever seen that many hot guys all in the same place in Winnipeg. It must've been the Oasis concert. Memo to self: start being an Oasis fan.

Home Sweet Home
So I'm back in Winterpeg. The drive was extremely long; I'm pretty proud of myself for doing it all in one day. And for not getting lost once. Not that the directions were that complicated... there were a total of about 8 turns the whole way, and 5 of them were just to get out of Calgary. It's mostly just a long, boring, straight line.
The drive has reinforced my opinion on Ipods... they're a complete waste of money! Why in the world does anyone need 5000 songs? I started at the first song on my 200 song mp3 player leaving Calgary, and THIRTEEN hours later, in Winnipeg, I still hadn't gotten through every song. There were still ten or so left.
After the drive, I crashed for fourteen hours of much needed sleep. It was awesome, except for the awful dream that I had about my new house, in which I discovered that I lived in a horrible, dirty, haunted, spiderwebby little bomb shelter with one wall missing, while Jenwa's room was in the beautiful, happy part of the mansion, right next to the spa/gym.
Fortunately, I got to see the house last night, and although it doesn't actually have a gym or a spa (*sniffle*), my room is perfectly fine. Much better than the first residence room I lived in at UVic, actually, which was about twice as expensive. Except for the EXTREMELY hideously ugly wallpaper. I am definitely going to have to do something about the wallpaper.
Also last night, I got to meet Jenwa's boyfriend, Will. Finally! He was super nice, and they would make adorable children! (and that is the highest form of approval coming from me, heh). We went to hang out at a little pub by our new house, in which we got to see this scary dude poke himself with needles, eat live crickets, and a dead baby rat fetus. And it wouldn't be Winnipeg if he didn't happen to be the friend of this guy we knew in high school, who we ran into briefly at the pub too. *shudder*

Mmm, strippers
Which one do you think is the hottest?? I think its the one on the bottom right, except for that he had a ridiculous race car driver outfit. The one on the top left had the best costume; police officer!!!
Also, I'm not sure if I like my hair this colour too much. It turned out much darker than I thought it would. I don't like having plain brown hair, it makes me kind of just blah. I think I'm going to try and redye it tonight a bit lighter, hopefully it works and doesn't make my hair fall out from dying it twice in such a short time.

Green tea must be an acquired taste
I used to hate it, but now suddenly it's delicious!
Work today was a bazillion jigillion times better than it's been for the last two weeks. No one quit, no one was even grumpy! And other people did all the chores I hate, so all I had to do was serve, just like a morning shift :)
On a less happy note, apparently our manager had herself checked into a mental hospital after she quit yesterday o.O. I am not quite sure if that's actually true or not, she was definitely having a rough two months, but that's pretty unbelievable. Mid-life crisis maybe? She didn't seem crazy....
Anyway, I now get tomorrow off in addition to thursday, and I'm sooo soo soo so so happy!! Sunday will also now be my last day of work, so I will have plenty of time to pack and say goodbye to people, and won't have any problem getting back home in good time :)
I'm so excited to go home, I've been gone for pretty much a year now, which is a long time after living there for 19 years! Although I probably won't be so enthusiastic about being there come december. It's a lot easier to miss Winnipeg when the worst weather you've had all year required an umbrella.

only 10 more days...
I’m going craaazzzy. I’m working waaaay too much. The afternoon-cl shifts put me in like a perpetually bad mood since I barely get any time to myself. I’m actually looking forward to doing the 13 hr drive home alone, just because it will be so much more peaceful and relaxing than having to work.
And great, I’m all worried about my weight now. The cooks at work totally told me I got fatter today. *sniffle* So mean… but true. I think I've gained about 5 pounds since the start of the summer. I haven't been working out at all and I've been stuffing my face at work heh. I need to get in shape again! Now I just need to find a way to force myself to use up 30 mins-1 hr of my precious free time to exercise. >.<
Oh, and thomas, make a post already! You're a sucky blog buddy. *mad*

Never give Lexi a permanent marker while intoxicated...
I went to a girl from work's bachelorette party last night. She's only 20 and getting married, which is crazzzzy. I can't even imagine being married right now. But she doesn't seem like the type to get married just for the hell of it, and the guy is (a lot) older, so I think they'll be happy.
The party was a lot of fun :). She had a bunch of tasks that she had to complete over the night, like get a lap dance, flash all the cars on 4th ave., get a hicky from a guy with a moustache, get a pair of guys boxers, get someone to give her a condom, etc. The lap dance was definitely the funniest, they actually managed to convince some random guy from the hotel to come into our room and give her a lap dance, complete with stripping! We had to pay 20 bucks for the boxers, but they are pretty awesome boxers, fake blue jeans with a banana in the pocket, so definitely worth it!
It was also my first time at a karaoke bar, which was also fun. I can't sing at all, but some of the people were really good.
Anyway, I've gotta take a taxi to the hotel to get my car so I can drive to work. It should be here any minute. Peace!
